Quanah Parker Statue Installation & Unveiling

Dianne & I would like to invite everyone to the official dedication of my late Father, artist Jack King Hill’s bronze statue on the second floor of the Rick Husband International Airport,  this coming Wednesday,  May 18th at 10am.

As you and many know, my family became great friends of the Parker family and descendants thru the years, including the great Chief’s oldest son, Baldwin & his daughters, Mrs. Nella Birdsong & Mrs. Alice Parker Purdy. His great granddaughter,  Nancy Boles of Amarillo will be a part of the ceremony Wednesday.

The statue is a gift from my wife and I to the city in honor of my father.

People can also see other statues of Quanah Parker created by my father at the Panhandle Plains Museum and the Pioneer Amphitheater in Palo Duro Canyon, where the outdoor musical, TEXAS is performed. My father also created the statue of the great white Buffalo at the new WTAMU Stadium.
