Potter County Sheriff’s Office Fall 2021 “Citizens Academy”

Thank you so much for your willingness to share information about our upcoming Potter County Sheriff’s Office Fall 2021 “Citizens Academy”.

We are scheduled to begin the academy on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and we will meet each Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Potter County Sheriff’s Office (Law Enforcement Center).  The academy is eleven (11) weeks in duration with the 12th week being a banquet honoring the participants.  The last meeting of the academy will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

We afford our attendees the opportunity to attend the “L.T.C.” (License to Carry) course.  This is usually conducted a week or so after the conclusion of the academy.

Each week we will provide a meal/refreshments, soft drinks, coffee, and water.

There will be different presenters each week from the Potter County Sheriff’s Office, The “100 Club of the Texas Panhandle”, Potter County Judge, Potter County Attorney, Potter County Fire & Rescue, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Panhandle Auto Burglary/Theft Unit,  Amarillo Police Department Crime Stoppers & Student Crime Stoppers, and the awarding winning presentation on “GANGS” from retired Amarillo Police Department Cpl. Steve Powers.

We have limited seating so acceptance to the academy is on a first come first serve basis.

Those interested in participating need to contact me ASAP.
