o (1-day break Dec. 3 for Giving Tuesday to benefit the Panhandle Gives, which HPFB is also participating in)
• Make a donation at any United, Amigos, and Market Street store across the Texas Panhandle
o The United Family will match the first $10,000
• 100% of your donation is directed to High Plains Food Bank
• No purchase necessary! This is a great way for the people in our rural communities to offer an end of year gift to HPFB

About High Plains Food Bank
High Plains Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger in the Texas Panhandle. HPFB secures, processes, stores and distributes food to more 185 partner agencies, across the top 29 counties in Texas. These food pantries provide a network to provide food assistance directly to the 1 in 7 local people who struggle with food insecurity, including 1 in 5 children. In 2018, HPFB distributed 8.25 million pounds of food, an amount equal to the all-time record set in 2017.
To combat food insecurity and improve the overall health of clients we serve, HPFB provides a variety of community programs, including: Kids Cafe, Direct Mobile Distribution, a senior adult food program (CSFP), and nutrition education through The Garden at High Plains Food Bank. HPFB can also help individuals with applying for SNAP, CHIP, and Medicaid. In addition to fighting hunger and supporting better health, food banking decreases waste by distributing food that would otherwise go uneaten to people who need it. *High Plains Food Bank is an equal opportunity provider.

Some Fun Events with the Bulls !

November 1 and November 22 is our fundraising group night. Any organization interested in fundraising can sell our tickets for either of these games and they keep a portion of the sales. We really enjoy working with our community.

The Hockey players will be doing Health and Hockey for our schools where they go teach the kids healthy eating, sleeping, and exercise habits and then they learn the basics on hockey and play floor hockey with the players. We are already set up with Belmar and S. Georgia schools but have room for more!

November 2nd is our Military Night where all Military and Veterans get in free
November 23rd is our Daddy Daughter Princess Night and all Princesses get in free with a paying adult. (no limit on the princess getting free as long as an adult comes with them. We will have Disney Princesses here too so be picture ready!! We will also have a few songs to dance to on ICE!!!

We are holding a bake sale to raise hay money for Panhandle Safe Hayven Equine Rescue on Saturday, November 23. It will be at the Tractor Supply on I 27 from 10 to? We want to invite y’all to our Annual Taco Festival to be held at the Rex Baxter Exhibit Building November 23 at 4 pm.
We will have a Taco competition were people can enjoy free Tacos from different restaurants and vote for their favorite.
The proceeds of the event will go towards our annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, and our toy drive and blankets for Christmas.
