Roots & Wings Event Benefiting ACH.2.6.18

On February 6, the Amarillo community will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of foster children.

Amarillo Children’s Home is 94 years into this journey of making a difference in the lives of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Our mission is to restore the identity of children so they will realize their great value and become a blessing to others. It’s a message our entire community can believe in and get behind.

On Tuesday, February 6, at 6:30 pm Amarillo Children’s Home (ACH) will host our 8th annual Roots & Wings event in the Heritage Room of the Amarillo Civic Center. Guests will enjoy great food, community, and be inspired by our speaker for the evening, Josh Shipp. An author, speaker, and former at-risk foster kid turned youth advocate, Josh will remind us that every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story.

Guests are invited to make a donation at the event instead of purchasing tickets in advance. Guests must RSVP in order to attend the event and can do so online at www.AmarilloChildrensHome.org/rsvp or by calling 352-5771. Proceeds from the event will help ACH provide a home for over 40 children living in foster care.

About Amarillo Children’s Home:

Our mission is to restore the identity of children so they can realize their great value and be a blessing to others. Since 1924, we have given a home and a family to children living in foster care in Amarillo. For kids age 5 up through young adults, we provide love, structure, a sense of belonging and training which allows them to give back to their community as respectful students, diligent workers and volunteers, dedicated moms and dads and honest businessmen and women.
