Potter County Sheriff’s Office Check Presentation to 24 Hours in the Canyon Cancer Survivorship Center
This year the Potter County Sheriff’s Office decided to participate in the No Shave November campaign to raise awareness for Cancer. Those participating had to pay $50 dollars. $20 dollars of that we took off the top to donate to a cancer organization, the other $30 went to our benefit board that helps with our employees in times of need.
The Sheriff decided to participate because the cause has hit close to home with several in the department and himself that have and are battling cancer. We had a great turn out for the event and we even extended the time to include December as well, with the same stipulation with the money.
We decide to donate the money for the cancer organization to the 24 hours in the Canyon Organization. We chose them because they are local, and they help all of those affected with the cancer from adults to children to family.
That being said, we will meet with 24 Hours in the Canyon at their office of 500 S Taylor Suite 1060 Unit 223 on January 11 at 2pm.
